The most popular unit for police cars, private security vehicles and sleeping cabs for over the road trucks is the mini-sized Safe-T-Alert 62-541-BK in black. This same unit is available in Safe-T-Alert 62-541-WH 12V CO Alarm, Surface Mount.These units also come in flush mount versions which do require puncturing the dash to mount. Note: The manufacturer does not recommend this unit for this purpose. However, there are few other options except for those carbon monoxide sensitive yellow dot detectors which change color when exposed to CO.
